The combined form of Radha and Krishna

Madhya 8.267-271

eka saḿśaya mora āchaye hṛdaye
kṛpā kari' kaha more tāhāra niścaye
pahile dekhiluń tomāra sannyāsi-svarūpa
ebe tomā dekhi muñi śyāma-gopa-rūpa
tomāra sammukhe dekhi kāñcana-pañcālikā
tāńra gaura-kāntye tomāra sarva ańga ḍhākā

There is confusion in my heart. - āchaye eka saḿśaya hṛdaye mora
Be merciful to me and tell me about this statement: - kari kṛpā kaha more tāhāra niścaye
First I saw you in the form of a sannyasi; now - pahile tomāra dekhiluń svarūpa sannyāsi ebe
I see you in the form of a dark-skinned cowherd (Krișna). - muñi tomā tomā dekhi rūpa gopa śyāma

Before you I see a golden doll (Radha), - sammukhe tomāra dekhi pañcālikā kāññcana
whose golden glow covers your whole body - tāńra kāntye gaura ḍhākā sarva tomāra ańga

Tika: Rādha's golden effulgence covers Krișna's body and thus He appears in the form of Gaura (the Golden One).

tāhāte prakaṭa dekhoń sa-vaḿśī vadana
nānā bhāve cañcala tāhe kamala-nayana
ei-mata tomā dekhi' haya camatkāra
akapaṭe kaha, prabhu, kāraṇa ihāra

In this appearance I see this mouth with the flute (Krișna's) - tāhāte prakaṭa dekhoń sa vadana vaḿśī
and in these teasing eyes like lotuses, - tāhe nayana cañcala kamala
various ecstatic states of spiritual love. - nānā bhāve

It is wonderful to see you like this. - haya camatkāra tomā dekhi ei-mata
Tell Your lordship the cause of this without duplicity. - kaha prabhu akapaṭe kāraṇa ihāra

Ṭīkā: Śrī Caitanya explains the vision of Rāya Rāmānanda by the principle that a superior devotee sees everywhere the form of the Deities he worships, which in this case is only partially true, for Śrī Caitanya is actually the combined form of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa.
