Meditation on the teaching given by Viśākha 1
The meditation on this verse regarding the teaching given by Viśākha to the sādhaka mañjarī is given as from Guṭika of Kṛṣṇa dāsa Baba-jī from Govardhana:
Today is Rādhāṣṭamī. So to pompously celebrate Śrī Bhānu-dulālī birthday, king Vṛṣabhānu has invited all the Vrajavāsīs, headed by Nanda Baba. Thus Kṛṣṇa and His relativesare remaining as guests for three days in Vṛṣabhānu's palace.
In the mid morning on Rādhā's birthday the Vrajavāsīs ecstatically view Her rājābhiṣeka ceremony. Then the sakhīs expertly dress Rādhā in a special outfit and She comes to sit upon the rāja siṁhāsana in the center of Her father's luxurious mandira. Regal Rādhā looks immaculate! And as the prominent residents of Vraja all line up to offer Her their chosen gifts, Rādhā's face is beaming!
But after the ceremonony Rādhā enters the kitchen with Her sakhīs to begin preparing a huge feast for Nanda, Yaśoda and all of the otherchief guests. Meanwhile, in a large tent outside, hundreds of brāhmaṇas are busy preparing food for the masses. When the cooking is done, the pūjarīs offer the bhoga to the household deity of Śrī Nārāyaṇa. Then everyone comes to watch the ārati ceremony. Afterwards, Vṛṣabhānu Rājā and his servants divide the crowds and seat the guests in rows. As the guests sumptuously dine, Rādhā and the other Yūtheśvarīs carefully serve with devotion. Then Rādhā goes to her private quarters to dine with Her sakhīs and retires to Her bedroom for a brief nap.
Now the svārasikī meditation begins:
The sādhaka mañjarī collects Rādhā's remnants to serve them to her gurudevī. Then she relisches the memaining portion. But later, as her guru mañjarī rests in her assigned quarters (in Rādhā's house), the sādhaka dāsī comes to message her lotus feet. Gurudevī's eyes are still open, yet she is on the brink of falling asleep. Just then Viśākhā arrives at the doorway and motions to the sādhaka mañjarī. Thus she glances to her gurudevī and her eyes say: jā, jā (go, go)!
As the sādhaka mañjarī approaches Viśākha, she asks: "Weren't you singing this morning while picking flowers in Rāi's gardens? The dāsī smiles and nods her haead. Viśākha requests: "Come with me;I'll teach you a song that I learned from Rādhā But it's a secret, I can't show you around here."
As Viśākha sundarī gracefully walks through Vṛṣabhānu's palace, the sādhaka mañjarī lshd behind and ponders: "Ah, Viśākha's form, nature and qualities are just like Svāminī's; so this is almost like beeing with Her."
As Viśākha passes by Rādhā's bedroom, she peaks inside. Rādhā has fallen asleep, a sweet smile adorns Her face. Many dāsīs surround Her. The sādhaka mañjarī offers a thousand praṇāms to Śrīmatī from har heart, and continues following Viśākha as they tip-toe past Nanda Baba's bedroom and the opulent chamber Vṛṣabhānu's; everyone has fallen asleep.
