Lesson 2 ् उ u, ऊ ū, अ a, ओ (o) ल (la) न (na)

1. The "deletion" (not reading) of the vowel "a inherent" (which is read after all consonants).
The character ् - is used for the deletion of vowels "a - inherent" with the letter "d" of English keyboard. Thus, the " inherent a " is no longer read when adding a short rail under a consonant ् (the squiggle is the placeholder for the consonant).

6. ऊ (u-long) - at the beginning of a word

3. न (na)
