Lesson 2 ् उ u, ऊ ū, अ a, ओ (o) ल (la) न (na)

To write the Devanagari letters you should first install the Sanskrit keyboard, see Lesson 1

1. The "deletion" (not reading) of the vowel "a inherent" (which is read after all consonants).

The character - is used for the deletion of vowels "a - inherent" with the letter "d" of English keyboard. Thus, the " inherent a " is no longer read when adding a short rail under a consonant (the squiggle is the placeholder for the consonant).

माम् - mām (IAST) - mir, mich - letters c e c d English keyboard

2. (ā-long) - at the beginning of a word

म् - ām (IAST) - yes (affirmation) - letters "E", "c" "d" English Keyboard

3.  (la)

अम - amala (read - amal) - pure - literele "D c n" English keyboard

माला - mālā - garland - literele "c e n e" English keyboard

4. ओ (o) - at the beginning of a word

म - om - (IAST) - the whole existence - A c - English keyboard

म् - om - (IAST) - literele A c d - English keyboard

म् or ओम - serious affirmation - yes!

5. उ (u-short) - at the beginning of a word

मा - umā - (IAST) - woman's name Șivas - "G", "c" și "e" - English keyboard

6.   (u-long) - at the beginning of a word

- ūna (IAST) - (read unî) - minus / less - T v - English keyboard

3.   (na) 

नाम - nāma (IAST) - (read namî) - name - letters v e c English keyboard
