Hindola Līlā (Jhulana) Kṛṣṇa-bhāvanamṛta 2

But as the swinging continues, Rādhā sees her reflection in Kṛṣṇa's glossy, mirror-like chest- and fails to see him! Then the golden mirror of Rādhā's aṅga kanta reflects Kṛṣṇa's image-and he misses seeing her! Thus, becoming down-trodden, Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa sigh deep breaths which fade their luster, causing their reflections to disappear.

So now as they re-discover each other, Śrī Yugala Kiśora rejoice with their new darśana-ānanda!
Then Līlā Varidhi (Wolke der Spiele) Kṛṣṇa pushes the hindola faster and faster in frolic. As it goes higher and higher, Rādhā's back brushes the kadamba-branches, and she turns frightened! Thus, the Sakhīs are frightened too, and repeatedly implore: "Hey Kṛṣṇa! Don't go so fast! Please slow down!"

But Kṛṣṇa doesn't pay heed- he broadly smiles at the Gopīs and continues to swing faster! Thus, Rādhā's hair-braids loosen, her orana flies away and her ornaments slacken! But when Rādhā's lower garment sails upward too, she tries to hold onto it by kicking her feet! Aho! Seeing Rādhā's plight, Kṛṣṇa's eyes become satīated! Then Kṛṣṇa swings faster than ever!

So Rādhā's eyes show fear, and she leaves her seat to embrace him around the neck! But Kṛṣṇa lets go of the ropes to embrace Rādhā with both arms! Aho! He's attached to the racing hindola only by his feet1 Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa are like a golden Campak and a blue lotus-but as they merge, the divine fragrance of Campak and lotus begins permeating! Crossing the heavenly regions, it enters Vaikuntha, and finally reaches the nostrils of Padma, Śrī Lakṣmī!

Seeing their Rasika Yugala without support, the Sakhīs carefully take hold of the hindola and bring it to standstill. Rādhā quickly gets down, hides amongst her Sakhīs and begins pouting about her inconveṇience!

Then Rādhā brings her leading Sakhī, Lalitā, and seats her beside Kṛṣṇa. But as Rādhā begins to push the hindola and lovingly sing, Kṛṣṇa swings swiftly as before. Thus, he swings with Viśākhā, followed by Citrā, Campakalatā, Indulekhā, RaṅgaDevī, Tuṅgavidyā and SuDevī. Then Kṛṣṇa gets down.

As previously described, there are unlimited hindolas of all shapes and sizes within the kadamba-kānana. So Kṛṣṇa expānds into many forms, taking two Vrāja sundarī under each arm! Then lifting them into each hindola, Kṛṣṇa begins swinging with unlimited numbers of Gopīs. If someone should ask: "Why does Kṛṣṇa make such an elaborate arrangement?" We shall answer: "Does his Prema sindhu exist for nothing?"

Kṛṣṇa thinks, "I'll place Myself between each pair of Gopīs. "Indeed, this is a great feat because each Gopī considers: "Oh! Madhusūdan is especially favoring me; He's drinking the beauty of my lotus-face alone!"
But for Śrī Gokulendra-nandana this isn't so amazing because anything is possible with Yogamaya's help.

In the kadamba Kānana there is a very special hindola shaped like a huge lotus. When Vṛnda Devī shows it, Kṛṣṇa and his Preyasīs eagerly climb aboard. The lotus' karnika is decorated with stemless flowers that smother the seat which is covered by a soft silken cloth.

Alongside there are many thick cushions stuffed with scented flowers. So Kṛṣṇa enters the karnika and sits down, placing his left arm over Rādhikā's shoulder. Then the aṣṭa-Sakhīs sit in the first eight petals of the lotus whorl. In the second whorl there are sixteen petals where sixteen other Sakhīs sit.

Seeing Yugala Kiśora and the Sakhīs comfortable seated, Vṛnda joyfully brings a large assortment of forest fruits (including dates, berries grapes, mangoes, and other delicacies), placing them before Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa. But first everyone sips refreshing sharbatas that defeat the taste of nectar. And after Śrī Yugala Kiśora enjoy the feast, the Sakhīs take their mahā-prāsad. Then golden pān kīlīs (rolled) are served: the Sakhīs prepare select types of pān and offer them to Rādhā Kṛṣṇa, and then to each other.

Afterwards, Vṛnda and Nāndīmukhī joyfully swing the Padma-Hindola. And Rādhā's dāsīs show ecstatic symptoms as they sing for the Divine Couple.
Thus, Kṛṣṇa Candra conquers the Vrāja sundarī with his Prema during the hindola vijaya utsava! But he also reaps the reward of their cumbaka ratna (jewel-like-kisses)! After swinging, Kṛṣṇa gets down from the hindola with his Kiśorī-vallabhas to resume Vana-vihāra.
