5.8 Radha's love reflected in her own qualities

rādhā-prati kṛṣṇa-sneha sugandhi udvartana
tā'te ati sugandhi deha ujjvala-varaṇa 166
kāruṇyāmṛta dhārāya snāna prathama
tāruṇyāmṛta-dhārāya snāna madhyama 167
lāvaṇyāmṛta-dhārāya tad-upari snāna
nija-lajjā-śyāma-paṭṭasāṭasāṭi-paridhāna 168
kṛṣṇa-anurāga dvitīya aruṇa-vasana
praṇaya-māna-kañculikāya vakṣa ācchādana 169
"Krișna's affection for Radha is like a perfumed ointment- kṛṣṣṇa-sneha prati rādhā udvartana sugandhi
and thus her fragrant body shines brightly. - tā'te ati sugandhi deha ujjvala-varaṇa 166
First she's bathing under the shower of the nectar of compassion - prathama snāna snāna dhārāāya amṛta kāruṇya
In the middle (of the day) he bathes under the shower of the nectar of youth. - madhyama snāna snāna dhārāāya amṛta tāruṇya. 167
Most of all she bathes under the shower of the nectar of beauty- tat-upari snāna dhārāya amṛta lāvaṇya
and wears the dark silken garment of her own shyness. - paridhāna sāṭi paṭṭa śyāma nija-lajjā 168
The second (garment) is the pink garment of love for Krișna. - dvitīya vasana aruṇa aruṇa anurāga kṛṣṇa
Then she covers her breasts with the short blouse of the false prestige of love (anger due to jealousy). - ācchādana vakṣa kañculi kāya māna praṇaya 169
saundarya kuńkuma, sakhī-praṇaya candana
smita-kānti karpūra tine ańge vilepana 170
kṛṣṇera ujjvala-rasa mṛgamada-bhara
sei mṛgamade vicitrita kalevara 171
pracchanna-māna vāmya dhammilla vinyāsa
'dhīrādhīrātmaka' guṇa ańge paṭa-vāsa 172
rāga tāmbūla rāge adhara ujjvala
prema kauṭilya netra-yugale kajjala 173
Her beauty is the fragrant kuńkuma
powder, the love for her girlfriends is the sap of sandalwood - saundarya kuńkuma sakhī-praṇaya candana
and the sweetness of her smile is camphor. - smita-kānti.
These three things are anointed on (Her) body. - tine vilepana ańge 170
The erotic love for Krișna is an abundance of musk. - ujjvala-rasa kṛṣṇera bhara mṛga-mada
That musk flavor decorates her whole body. - sei mṛga-made vicitrita kalevara 171
Slyness and hidden anger constitute the arrangement of her hair.- vāmya māna pracchanna vinyāsa dhammilla.
The quality of one's own self-control or lack of it is the silken covering of her body. - guṇa ātmaka dhīra adhīra vāsa paṭa ańge 172
Her affection is the betel-nut-like redness of her shining lips. - rāga-tāmbūla rāge adhara ujjvala
Her diplomacy in erotic love is the black ointment around her two eyes. - kauṭilya prema kajjala yugale netra. 173
sūddīpta-sāttvika bhāva, harṣādi sañcārī
ei saba bhāva-bhūūṣaṇa saba-ańge bhari 174
saubhāgya-tilaka cāru-lalāṭe ujjvala
prema-vaicittya ratna, hṛdaya tarala 175
madhya-vayasa sakhī-skandhe kara-nyāsa
kṛṣṇalīlā-manovṛtti-sakhī āśa-pāśa 176
nijāńga saurabhālaye garva paryańka
tā'te vasi' āche sadā cinte kṛṣṇa-sańga 177
kṛṣṇa-nāma-guṇa-yaśa avataḿsa kāṇe
kṛṣṇa-nāma-guṇa-yaśa-pravāha-vacane 178
These very fiery ecstasy (of love) that comes from pure goodness, - bhāva su-uddīpta sāttvika
as well as the transient ecstatic emotions beginning with jubilation - sañcārī harṣa-ādi
are all ecstatic emotional ornaments (which) fill her whole body. - saba ei bhāva bhūṣaṇa bhari saba ańge.
The beautiful mark on the forehead of great bliss is bright - cāru -tilaka lalāṭe saubhāgya ujjvala
The desire that arises due to love is the jewel - vaicittya prema ratna
And the heart is the locket. - hṛdaya tarala
Adolescence is a friend's shoulder, on which she holds her hand. - madhya-vayasa skandhe skandhe sakhī nyāsa kara
The activity of her mind is a girlfriend who is everywhere in the games of Krișna. - manevṛtti sakhī āśa-pāśa Kṛṣṇa; līlā
Her own body, the abode of fragrance, is her pride and (her) bed. - nijāńga saurabhālaye āche garva paryańka
On this one she reclines all the time thinking of the association with Krișna. - tā'te vasi' cinte sadā kṛṣṇa-sańga
What adorns his ears is the fame of the name of Krișna, - avataḿsa kāṇe guṇa-yaśa nāma kṛṣṇa
and the stream of her discourse (is only) about the fame of Krișna's name. - pravāha-vacane guṇa-yaśa nāma kṛṣṇa
