5.4 Rāsa and Rādhā's dance
Rāmānanda Rāya continued:
amyak-sara vasana krishnera rasa-lila
rasa-lila-vasanate radhika srinkhala
tanha vinu rasa-lila nahi bhaya citte
mandali chadiya gela radha anveshite
itas-tatah bhrami' kahan radha na pana
vishada karena kama-bane khinna hana
sata-koti-gopite nahe kama-nirvapana
tahatei anumani sri-radhikara guna (Caitanya Caritāmṛta 2.8.113-116)
The essence of Krysna's desires becomes perfected in the Rasa dance - sara vasana samyak samyak krishak krishnera rasa-lila
Radha is the link of that desire with the dance Rasa - radhika srinkhala vasante rasa-lila-vasanate
Without it the rasa dance does not enlighten the heart (sa) - vinu tanha rasa-lila nahi bhaya citte
Leaving the (dance) circle Rasa (Krișna) went in search of Radha - chadiya mandali chadiya rasa gela anveshite radha
Running to and fro - bhrami itah-tatah
And not finding Radha anywhere - na pana radha kahan
He began to lament being wounded by the arrow of erotic desire - karena visada hana hana khinna bane kama
Since his erotic desires could not be satisfied - tahatei nahe kama-nirvapana
By hundreds of thousands of gopii sata-koti gopite
We can imagine Radha's qualities - anumani sri-radhikara
