In the beginning was the attraction due to eyes-looks - pahilehi bhela rāga nayana-bhañge
and every day it grew boundless. - anu-dina bāḍhala gela avadhi nā

You will say, that you know. - kahabi jāni
Dear friend Krișna has forgotten all this. - e sakhi kānu vichurala se-saba
Indeed someone else has been looking for us: the five arrows in the flowers (of Cupid). -ta ān khońjaluń pāńńca-bāṇa
Now in the midst of our separation be the messenger of the affairs of love - ab madhya sohi virāga tuńhu bheli dūtī kāhinī prema

O creator of the Universe (Krișna), like a king of elephants - kāruḥ brahmāṇḍa pate kuññjara
(while) performing love games in the groves of Govardhan - yuññjan śṛńgāra nikuñja adri
in which you are an expert, Radha's sweat and yours - kṛtī svedaiḥ rādhāyāḥ ca bhavataḥ
have gradually melted (your) hearts like the shākā, - vilāpya kramāt citta-jatunī
colored bright red, - anvaraññjayat hińgula-bharaiḥ
completely removing the illusion (that you are) two (different entities). - nirdhūta bhramam bheda
By various means you increased the wonder (by introducing) - bhūūyobhiḥ citrāya
Thou hast Induced in the palace of this world a new kind of amorous love. - svayam harmya-udare iha nava-rāga

Tika: These verses have been taken from Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī's Ujjvala-nīlamaṇi 14.155.

prabhu kahe, - 'sādhya-vastura avadhi' ei haya
tomāra prasāde ihā jāniluń niścaya 196

The Lord said: this is the (upper) limit of the purpose (of life) - prabhu kahe ei haya avadhi sādhya-vastura
By your mercy I understood this conclusion - tomāra prasāde jāniluń ihā niścaya

Tika: The goal of life would thus be to love Krișna with a love like Radha, wWhich is possible only if we become one in heart with Radha, becoming a friend - Sakhi - and intimate servant - Mañjarī - of her.
