
8.5 Krișna's beauty is enhanced by the presence of gopis
yadyapi kṛṣṇa-saundarya mādhuryera dhurya
vraja devīra sańge tāńra bāḍaye mādhurya (CC 2.8.94)
Though Krishna's beauty is supreme sweetness, - yadyapi saundarya kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa dhurya mādhuryera
association with the goddesses of Vraja (makes) his sweetness increase. - sańge devīra vraja mādhurya tāńra bāḍaye
tatrātiśuśubhe tābhir bhagavān devakī-sutaḥ
madhye maṇīnāḿ haimānāḿ mahā-marakato yathā (CC 2.8.95)
In that place the Supreme Lord, the son of Devaki - tatra bhagavān sutaḥ devakī
(becomes) even more beautiful because of them (goddesses of Vraja), - ati-śuśubhe tābhiḥ
like the gem Marakata (Blue Saphire - Kṛṣṇa) - yathā mahā mahā-marakataḥ
amidst the golden gemstones (the goddesses of Vraja). - madhye maṇīnām haimānām
prabhu kahe ei 'sādhyāvadhi' suniścaya
kṛpā kari' kaha yadi āge kichu haya (CC 2.8.96)
The Lord replies: This is surely the limit of perfection. - prabhu kahe ei su niścaya avadhi sādhya
If (yet) there is anything - yadi kichu haya
be merciful and speak further. - kṛpā kari kaha kaha āge
