7.2 Prema Bhakti in Vrindavan - Intimate Spiritual Friendship
This kind of divine love relationship exists only in Goloka Vrindavan and is attained only through the practice of Rāgānuga Sādhana Bhakti.
Ramananda Raya said: spiritual friendly love - rāya kahe sakhya-prema
is the essence of all the purposes of life. - sara sarva-sadhya.
It is only in the next verse that Ramananda Ray enters Vrindavan where there is
rāga-atmika bhakti - devotional service of soul attachment of the Vraja-vāsis,
to exemplify divine loving-kindness, quoting Śukadeva Gosvāmī (Bhāgvatam. 10.12.11):
itthaḿ satāḿ brahma-sukhānubhūtyā
dāsyaḿ gatānāḿ para-daivatena
māyāśritānāḿ nara-dārakeṇa
sārdhaḿ vijahruḥ kṛta-puṇya-puñjāḥ (CC 2.8.75)
In this way - ittham
from the transcendentalists who attained the bliss of the light of the Lord - satām anubhūtyā sukha brahma
from those who have accepted servitude to the Supreme Lord and
- gatānām dāsyam para-daivatena
from those who are under the influence of illusory material energy, - māyā-āśritānām
those who have accumulated countless pious (spiritual) deeds - kṛta-puṇya-puñjāḥ
play like children of men together (with Kṛṣṇa).-vijahruḥ sārdham nara-dārakeṇa
This pastimes are on the platform of Rāga-atmika bhakti, which can be attained through the practice (sādhana) called rāga-anuga bhakti - by following the mood of the friends of Kṛṣṇa in Vrindvana.
prabhu kahe eho uttama age kaha ara
raya kahe, vatsalya prema sarva sadhya sara (CC 2.8.76)
The Lord said: this is superlative - prabhu kahe eho uttama
Keep saying more - age kaha ara
