111-116 Rādhā fantasizing as She meets Kṛṣṇa
Meanwhile, Rādhā contemplates: "Āha! Is this a Tamāla? Or a new rain cloud? Or a dazzling sapphire pillar? Could it be a mountain of kajjala, a collection of blue lotus flowers, or all the Vraja-sundarīs' eyes put together?"
Ṭikā: In Kṛṣṇa's darśanānanda, Rādhā goes blind! When doubts are unresolved by hearing one surely becomes convinced when directly seeing the object in question. But Rādhā Ṭhākurāṇī fails to recognize Kṛṣṇa even when He stands before Her; thus She inquires from Her sakhīs! This is called premera naṭa - the dance of prema.
Rādhā exclaims: "Hey Sakhi! What's happening to Me? And what is that bright effulgence before Me? Is it a bright new Tamāla-sapling? Or a newly arrived cloud? O perhaps it's a blue sapphire pillar? Although I can't distinguish, still the pleasure is more than My eyes can endure! Such a mādhura rūpa is very rare within Brahmā's creation!
Could it be an endless ocean of nectar from which one drop can drown every woman in the fourteen worlds?"
But Rādhā notices, there is no trace of water within the bright blue effulgence! Thus, She reconsiders: "Could it be a mountain of kajjala? Or maybe it's a swarm of intoxicated bees? Nā, nā, that's impossible because such objects wouldn't cause My heart to dance! So perhaps all of the Vraja-taruṇīs restless eyes have joined together to search for Kṛṣṇa? Nā, nā, that's impossible too; for how could another woman disturb My mind like this?"
112 Rādhā goes on: "Āha! Is this Kandarpa? Nā, for he lost his body. Could this be rasa-rāja śṛṅgāra rasa? Nā, he's also formless. Then perhaps this is an ocean of amṛta? Nā, the ocean is boundless. Then maybe this is a prema kalpataru? Nā, nā, how could a desire tree move? This object is moving towards Me! O Sakhi! Please tell Me, is this My Prāṇa-priyatama Śrī Kṛṣṇa? Oh, how could I be so fortunate?
Ṭikā: Sakhi hey! I saw a beautiful form, and this mādhura-mūrati is the essence of all prema rasa. So after contemplating, I think it's incomparable throughout the three worlds! His enticing topknot bends to the side, and His forehead has candana moon dots. His sundara face decries the moon's beauty; and like a net captures the entire universe". His glossy, black complexion resembles a soft, rasa filled cloud. All sorts of gold ornaments adorn His body, including a pearl necklace.
His two eyebrows are like Kāmadeva's cannons which support His swift lurking eyes. And they shoot dangerous flower arrows! His black aura defies kajjala, the water of the Yamunā, a dark cloud or a blue lotus. This Śyāma effulgence is simply incomparable! Although I tried to fix My glance, still I can't fathom what I saw. If you don't believe Me, then com, I'll show you! He has jeweled ornaments, gem ankle bells and wears flashy yellow garment. Govinda dāsa takes shelter of His crimson lotus feet.
113-114 Then Rādhā turns to Viśākhā and exclaims: "Oh Sakhi! Is this the lotus form My thirsty honeybee eyes? Ha My Priya-kānta arrived? Please don't tease Me, tell the truth!" Seeing Rādhā's voice faltering and Her body shivering with horripilation, Viśākhā tenderly answers:
"O Sumukhi! The person standing before You is the Kasturī-tilak for Your Forehead, the marvelous pictures painted on Your breasts, the dot of Kasturī for Your chin and the black mascara for Your eyes! He is the blue lotus for decorating Your ears, the crown jewel for Your head and Your auspicious ray of good fortune! Oh Sakhi Rāi! Look! Your dearest Kānta is standing before You, so quickly take His shelter!"
115 Thus overtaken by the mellows of śuddha prema awakening form Their mutual darśana. Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa become both stunned!
116 As a result of Śrī Rūpa's mature seva aroused by drinking the madhu at Śrī Caitaya Deva's lotus feet, the request of Śrī Raghunath Das, the association of Śrī Jīva and the benediction of Śrī Raghunath Bhatta, Govinda-līlāmṛta's ninth chapter ends.
