107-115 Introducing black bindu play

The sakhīs main seva is to unite Rādhā Madhava. Thus, Viśākhā whispers to Kundavallī: "Tell your cousin that Rādhā has the flute!" But Rāi Vinodinī understands and secretly gives the flute to Tulasī.

107 As Kṛṣṇa eagerly awaits Kundalatā's answer, she addresses Viśākhā, "Oh Sakhī! I swear, I don't know who took the Vaṁśī.
108 But don't forget, I'm not an outsider but Kṛṣṇa's relative. So, whatever belongs to him, belongs to me too! So, if I knew who stole the Vaṁśī, I would frankly tell Kṛṣṇa. I don't require any reward."

Ṭīkā: Kundalatā knows that if she tells Kṛṣṇa that Rādhā has the flute, she will become a laughing-stock and subject to Kṛṣṇa's outlandish remuneration. So, she plays ignorant to dodge the trap Viśākhā has laid for her.

109 "Sakhi Viśākhe! Undoubtedly you know who stole the flute. So why don't you just tell us where it is? Then you'll collect the jackpot of Kṛṣṇa's reward! Just cooperate and surely the Muralī will return to its prabhu.
110 You can accept the prize, or trace out where the flute is, the choice is up to you. But don't worry, I'll remain in between to act as arbiter."

Ṭīkā: Thus, Kundalatā offers Viśākhā tit-for-tat and turns the tables on her.

111 Meanwhile, Kundalatā's eyes hint to Kṛṣṇa that Rādhā has the flute, so he eagerly approaches her. But she stuns him with a sharp glance! Thus, Kundalatā says,

112 "Kṛṣṇa, because your Vaṁśī is filled with Śyāma rasa it has turned the entire world Śyāma (black)! So, whoever hears the flute's alluring song is overcome by your śṛṅgāra rasa! And look! Now that Śyāma Kandarpa rasa has taken shelter of Rādhā's chin as a black dot of kasturī!"

Ṭīkā: After out-manoeuvring Viśākhā, pride overwhelms Kundalatā. And when she informs Hari about the Vaṁśī-hāra - stealer of the flute, Śrī Rādhā, Kṛṣṇa comes to grab her! But the intoxicating bliss of Rāi Caurī's paralysing eye-gestures stop him in his tracks! Seeing Śyāma's stupor, Kundalatā continues to dominate with clever wordplay: "The Vaṁśī has shown its quality of Śyāma rasa as the bindu dot on Rādhā's chin!" These words are spoken to dispel Kṛṣṇa's fascination. After Rādhā is bathed and dressed, the sakhīs always decorate her chin with a kasturi bindu that symbolises her Śyāma anurāga.

113 Kundalatā continues: "Rādhā subjugated the Vaṁśī and extracted its Śyāma rasa; that is the black bindu on her chin. But in the stupor of acquiring the flute, she forgot to hide the bindu and has hidden only the Vaṁśī!

114 You are lucky, Kṛṣṇa, because Rādhā forgot to remove the Vaṁśī's mark, and so you've caught her! But first do one thing, remove the bindu with your lips. Then you can punish the thief and reward the detective.
115 As we've proven that the Vaṁśī is with Rādhā, I don't care if you reclaim it or not. But Viśākhā is demanding her reward. Wouldn't it be fair to give it her in my presence?"
